May 2017 Alert 1: Asphalt Shingles NOT Recyclable in Colorado. • May 2017 Alert 2: Be Aware of Risk of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Following Roof Replacement.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment adopted a policy in September 2015 that asphalt roofing shingles are no longer considered a recyclable material in Colorado. Any company claiming that they can recycle shingles is not permitted by the State of Colorado.
